Birdcage Car Charm

I got some new Tim holtz dies in today and I used the wings off of the heart wings die and the mini bird cage. I painted them antique white and distressed the edges with vintage photo. I colored 2 IAR gardenia petals with Clam Bake Beige Starburst Spray by Lindys Stamp Gang. I added a ribbon slider and a glass button to the center. I used some beads from my stash to finish it off. I am going to hang this in my car rear view mirror.

Flower Headband

I made these adorable headband for my daughter. I got the tutorial from Duhbe. I didn't use my sewing machine on them but I think they came out just fine. I added a pearl daisy to the center of the flower and glued it to a headband. I think that it came out so adorable.

Altered Heart Box

I got this heart paper mache box from michal's and painted it with vintage white acrylic paint (3 coats). For the paper around the bottom of the box is from My Minds Eye Lost and Found Collection. I made the pink spray and the clear spray was off of some garland from the wedding section at michaels. The flower was from frog feather on etsy. It was white and I dye it with Lindys stamp gang's starburst spray Ramblin Rose Pink. The crystal flower in the center was made from the same wedding garland. The mini white flowers are from michael's dollar section. The trim around the top edge was from my local hobby lobby and dyed with the same color as the flower.
I think that I am back on track now. It took awhile to get back to wanting to craft. I had surgery over the holidays and I am just now getting back into it. I have lots of projects that I want to share with you as soon as I finish them. Have a wonderful day.

Pine Cone Roses Tutorial

My kids went to there grandmothers this weekend and brought back a bag full of large pine cones. "Mommy make something with this." So we all made the pine cone trees in school. I thought that was a little boring and I figured I could make something better with them. They are at school right now so they will be surprised when they get home and see there pine cone roses. I think they would make great table pieces this Thanksgiving.

So here is what you need: 1 Pine Cone and Hot Glue. I used a large pine cone.

~11-12 Large Petals for the bottom.

~7-9 Medium Petals for the middle.

~6-8 Small Petals for the top.

~3-5 Tiny/Skinny Petals for the center bud.
~Add Liquid Applique or Snow Marker to give it a snowy look. Add glitter, paint, or whatever else you desire. Have fun with it. Hope you enjoyed my tutorial and I would love to see what you come up with, So please share.
